Both of these medications are different forms of the Botulinum A molecule. The Botulinum A molecule blocks nerves from stimulating muscles. Without being stimulated the muscle becomes relaxed. If you look at your face in the mirror and then watch it as you completely relax, you will notice the lines and wrinkles become softer, less defined and less prominent.
You can achieve this same result with Dysport and Botox. The face looks younger and less distressed. Frown lines resolve. Crow’s feet become finer. Forehead lines lessen. Both medications are very safe and very effective.
Dysport is a smaller molecule and spreads farther than Botox and thereby gives a broader effect. Dysport also probably has a little faster onset. Both medications last about four to six months. The price of both medications is comparable. The most important consideration is to make sure your treatment is done by an experienced professional who will work with you to achieve the results that you desire.
