You may have already heard about FemiLift. It goes by many names including, the “gym for the vagina,” “the lunch break vagina procedure,” and “the designer vagina treatment.”
FemiLift is being praised as revolutionary because it’s fast, painless, non-invasive, and more importantly, it gets great results. FemiLift uses lasers to achieve great results. Doctors and patients alike are indeed very impressed the outcome. But who exactly is a candidate for a FemiLift? More than you might think… and you may be one of them.
Women Who Want Vaginal Tightening
Childbirth and age often cause weakness and laxity of the vagina. This is aggravated by the loss of hormone production after menopause. Sex is often no longer enjoyable. The FemiLift offers great results for vaginal laxity. It uses Alma lasers to create new tissue and collagen, which results in increased vaginal thickness and elasticity. After a few FemiLift treatments, many women report that their vagina feels “18 again.”
Women Who Experience Vaginal Dryness
Vaginal dryness is loaded with problems. It can be painful and cause pain during sex for both you and your partner. Women can suffer from this dryness for lots of different reasons, including hormones, medications, age, irritants, lack of arousal, anxiety, stress and other psychological issues. It can be very frustrating and can seriously hinder your sexual life—but that’s one of the areas where FemiLift can help.
The same science that helps the vagina regain its elasticity can also help it regain its lubrication. By delivering the right amount of Alma laser energy, the collagen in vaginal tissues is increased, resulting in greater vaginal lubrication.
Women Who Suffer from Incontinence
Oh, the fun our bodies can go through. Stress urinary incontinence is caused by things like pregnancy, giving birth, menopause, weakened bladder muscles, and some pelvic surgeries. Despite popular belief, it is not caused by stress but by weakness. Leaking urine is an embarrassing and frustrating condition. Who wants to wear a pad all the time. Which is why more and more women are opting for the Femilift treatment. Just think, being able to cough, laugh, or sneeze in peace… ahhh.
FemiLift solves incontinence problems for thousands of women because the Alma lasers firm the supporting muscles and tissues under the bladder. It can take a few sessions, but results have been very successful.

One morning you look in the mirror and see nothing but your skin’s problem areas. Next thing you know, you’re online googling professional skin treatments.
Sound familiar? We all do it. But there are so many skin treatments offered at med spas like Fremont Laser & Skin Care. How are you supposed to know which one is best to treat your concerns?
If you’re looking for a treatment that will improve common problems such as sun damage, enlarged or clogged pores, crow’s feet, uneven skin texture, wrinkles, fine lines, brown patches, blemishes, stretch marks, surgical scars, age spots, pigmentation, acne, or scars, then consider DermaSweep, which greatly improves these conditions with a series of treatments.
DermaSweep is similar to microdermabrasion, a treatment that uses crystals or diamonds to remove dead skin, only DermaSweep doesn’t use these crystals. Instead, it uses several attachments with fine bristles, which allows Fremont Laser & Skin Care’s trained and certified staff to treat patients based on how fragile, sensitive or tough their skin is. For example, a patient with very sensitive skin will require a tip with finer bristles—as would treatment of the soft skin around the eyes—while stiffer bristles are used on male skin or for acne scars.
The bristles gently scrub, providing a deeper exfoliation that smooths and brightens the skin. These bristles are designed to cleanse, nourish, revitalize, retexturize, and protect the skin, as well as soften fine lines, lighten wrinkles, brighten complexion, and purify pores. Another big benefit to the bristles is that they stimulate blood flow, which provides more nutrients and oxygenation to the area being treated. This boosts skin health and collagen production.
DermaSweep can be customized to include skin-specific infusions such as Vitamin C and growth factors for anti-aging, hyaluronic acid for hydration, and peeling agents for abnormal pigmentation. These infusions are delivered under very gentle pressure to allow for deeper penetration.
Another impressive benefit of DermaSweep is that it incorporates adjustable vacuum pressure. Using a mild suctioning device that’s built into the hand applicator, the gentle vacuuming action immediately pulls away dead skin cells after they’re brushed off. This prevents the cells from clogging pores. Bonus!
Typically, DermsaSweep treatments are 45 minutes long, and the best part is that you’ll see visible results after only one session. However, lasting and more significant results will occur after four to six treatments scheduled ten days to two weeks apart.
DermaSweep is also quite painless. Some patients compare it to a face massage. You can, however, expect to feel a little tightening or tingling afterward the procedure, but post-treatment moisturizer leaves your skin with a cool, smooth, refreshed feeling.
IPL photofacials are a popular treatment at Fremont Laser & Skin Care. Our trained and certified staff discusses the benefits with patients during their complimentary consultations. We’ve taken the most commonly asked questions and answered them here.
Q: Who are the best candidates for IPL photofacial treatments?
A: Anyone who’s bothered by their skin because it’s discolored, freckled, blotchy and/or sun-damaged should consider the treatment. IPL photofacials also work for wrinkles, acne, rosacea, and large pores. Sometimes patients with dark or very tanned skin can have complications, so if your skin is darker, our staff can determine whether the treatment is right for you and offer alternatives that would give you the results you want.
Q: How does the IPL photofacial process work?
A: Our trained, certified team members use a hand-held instrument to send intense pulses of light deep into the skin. These pulses of light lure pigmentation to the surface, and over the next few days, the pigmentation gets darker and then sheds away. The intense light causes blood vessels below the epidermis to constrict, reducing or eliminating common effects of aging such as redness, age lines, broken capillaries and skin discolorations. The intense light also stimulates the growth of collagen, which fills in wrinkles, making the skin smoother and younger-looking. The result is more evenly-toned skin with a fresh, healthy glow.
Q: Why do people choose IPL photofacials over other treatments?
A: Many people choose intense pulse light therapy because it’s a comprehensive treatment that can take care of several problem areas at the same time. It’s also less expensive than some other laser procedures.
Q: How long does each session take?
A: Not long at all. The procedure can take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, making it a very convenient option for those with busy schedules.
Q: What happens during the IPL photofacial procedure?
A: Because of the bright flashes of light, you’ll be given protective eyewear to wear during the procedure. You’ll most likely have your face washed to get rid of any oil, and a gel is applied to the area to be treated. This keeps your skin cool during the process. During the treatment, the hand-held instrument delivers brief, powerful pulses of bright light into your skin. Following treatment, ice packs or a cream can be applied to soothe any discomfort. Many patients don’t find this necessary, however.
Q: Is the procedure painful?
A: Many IPL photofacial patients find the procedure to be more uncomfortable than painful, comparing it to the pain of plucking nose hairs or having hot rubber bands snapped on their skin. It’s like a brief pinch.
Q: How much recovery time would I need?
A: The downtime and recovery period will depend on how intense the treatment was. You’ll likely have temporary discoloration for 3-4 days afterward, which will flake off slowly. You may also experience splotchy or red skin, and some patients see brown speckles—like pepper—all over their skin for a few days, too.
Q: How long does it take to see results of IPL photofacial treatments?
A: Most benefits of a IPL photofacial treatments happen gradually, over the next couple of weeks following treatment.
Q: How many sessions would I need?
A: This depends on the size of treated areas, but generally a few sessions—one every three weeks, and then maintenance twice a year is a good rule of thumb. If you have stubborn problem areas, it will take a few sessions to treat them. With each treatment, the results of the IPL photofacials become more and more evident.

Are you finding it more and more difficult to ignore creeping fine lines on your face? Large pores, perhaps? Maybe dark spots?
You’ve probably already heard about the glow-inducing benefits of Fraxel laser—it’s one of Courtney Cox’s and Kim Kardashian’s favorite treatments—but in case you haven’t, here’s the scoop.
Fraxel is a treatment designed for reversing the signs of aging and improving skin. Using laser technology, this treatment rejuvenates the skin and improves its health safely, no matter your age or ethnicity. It gives your skin a smooth and fresh appearance, along with improved tone and texture. You’ll see reduced wrinkles, spots and scars. No wonder people love Fraxel. Especially, since Fraxel treatments are praised for being fast and requiring very little recovery time.
Using a Fraxel laser, Fremont Laser & Skin Care’s trained and certified staff causes controlled (and safe) micro-injury to your skin, and the impressive effects take place during the recovery process. Fraxel uses your skin’s natural ability to create new, healthy tissue to replace damaged cells by stimulating new collagen growth. The result is like a real-life air-brush effect: smoother, younger-feeling skin.
Fraxel lasers zone in on targeted nagging concerns, such as fine lines, enlarged pores and pigmentation.
To gain the full benefits of Fraxel treatment, two to four treatments scheduled one month apart each are typically recommended. The effects are long lasting after initial treatment appointments at our comfortable office in Fremont, CA. Annual or bi-annual “touch up” treatments can keep skin’s regained youthful appearance.
What to Expect During Fraxel Treatments?
During the first session, most patients will have a numbing cream applied to their face an hour prior to the Fraxel treatment. Although it’s numbing cream, patients will still most likely feel some discomfort while the Fraxel laser is doing its job—it is a laser, after all. But the pain isn’t too much, and it’s quickly over. The first session usually only takes about fifteen minutes, and then the face is iced with cold packs for another few minutes. Applying a healing cream completes the treatment and that’s it for session one.
The next few days, the skin can be red, dry and/or swell. Some patients feel they look older immediately following treatment. That’s normal, and very temporary. Skin care products designed for post laser treatment are recommended and bring about the “Fraxel glow” that everyone loves.
Depending on the skin concerns being treated, the next session may be a little more intense. Fremont Laser & Skin Care’s staff may decide to target certain areas more deeply, which increases the power of the laser treatment. This session may also take a little longer. Because of all this, the next session may result in a bit more discomfort, and even more visible results. Again, ice packs, protective balm and careful post treatment care speeds healing.
Because of the increased concentration, recovery time for session two might mean a few more days of redness, dry skin, and swelling compared to session one’s recovery time.
Sessions three and four, if recommended, will likely be like session two. As the skin does its part by producing new collagen, patients see considerable improvement to the treated trouble areas.
While no treatment can stop the signs of aging, the Fraxel laser most certainly slows them down. To learn more about Fraxel treatments, contact us to learn more and schedule a complimentary consultation.
When it comes to men and body hair, there are two schools of thought. On the one hand, a hairy chest is a sign of masculinity. This has generally been embraced by men with rugged, stocky statures. Throw in a beard and even a city guy can look like a mountain man. But for men who have lean bodies and athletic physiques, a hairy chest is almost like a blanket covering up their strength. Both schools of thought come down to personal preference. This hair or no hair debate has been debated for a long time in mainstream culture.
The shaved look became a hot topic in men’s circles during the 1970s, when seven-time Mr. Olympia, movie star, and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger brought bodybuilding into the mainstream. He became a symbol of physical fitness, strength and virility. It was also quite noticeable that his Herculean body was hairless.
Back then, bodybuilders used razors and shaving cream or liquid hair removal products. The same was true for men who were into general fitness. In recent years, the hairless physique has been upwardly trending and here are a few reasons why laser hair removal makes joining this movement far easier than in the days of shaving or waxing.
If you’re pondering the use of laser hair removal, you probably have some questions. Here are a few things to know.
The days of hair removal being only for women are long gone. Today, men are enjoying the comfort of a hairless physique through laser treatments. You’ll look lean, more fit and your significant other may enjoy your soft-to-the-touch skin a little more, too.

Self-confidence. Doing something for yourself. Part of your regular personal care routine. For a variety of reasons, women and a dramatically increasing number of men are using laser hair removal to eliminate unwanted hair from the face and body.
When’s the last time you caught a glimpse of your physical image in a full-length mirror? For most men body hair issues influence self-esteem, personal preference and confidence. Laser hair removal can improve how you feel about yourself, which is why more men are including hair removal from Fremont Laser & Skin Care as part of their grooming routine.
For years, hair removal for men was seen strictly as an athletic routine. Sports authorities agree having less hair on your body helps to increase performance in sports. Athletic speed is still a factor. However today, men’s body images are more socialized and women are more outspoken about it. These are two of the simplest reasons for why men are removing unwanted body hair.
Laser hair removal can completely remove or thin out particular areas where the hair tends to be dense. The back and shoulder areas can be thinned by blending the hair growth pattern to the upper arms. The process is customized for the person.
Facial hair growth patterns are as individual as the man. Depending on the hair’s density, laser treatments can improve the texture of your skin. The results are a younger and healthier appearance. Treatments also diminish five o’clock shadow. Some men have experienced fewer ingrown hairs making it easier to get a clean shave with fewer nicks. Don’t forget about the uni-brow. It’s now possible to remove the unwanted hair and shape both of your eyebrows.
It is true most men do worry about unwanted hair. Not paying attention to it doesn’t make it less noticeable. The advancements in personal care have made the treatments more available and comfortable. Make this the year you man-up and boost your self-confidence.
Technology has a solution for removing hair from all parts of your body. The treatment targets the hair root. This specialized process is the reason laser hair removal lasts longer compared to other hair removal options. The extension of time between treatments helps to maintain your physical appearance longer. The most commonly treated areas are men’s backs, shoulders, chests, beards and necklines.
Like everyone else, there are parts of your body you enjoy and parts you could do without. Laser hair removal isn’t just for women. It’s time to make an appointment or schedule your free consultation with Fremont Laser & Skin Care.

When you live with toe nail fungus, you know exactly how it effects your self-confidence. Instead of hiding your feet, avoiding sandals and covering your toe nails with polish, explore laser treatment for toe nail fungus.
Unlike other toe nail fungus treatments, the GentleMax Pro® laser gets right to the heart of where the fungus lives, unlike oral medications that must first travel throughout your system. The GentleMax Pro® is so powerful and effective that laser treatments are becoming the standard for eliminating toe nail fungus. Compared to oral meds, laser treatment has no side effects and offers long-lasting results.
The GentleMax Pro® laser targets and destroys the fungus while leaving healthy tissue unaffected. The laser emits quick bursts of heat to the area to be treated. Within three to six months, a healthy nail begins to regrow. Since how quickly or slowly nails grow varies from person to person, it can take approximately one year for a new nail to completely replace the infected one.
Normally, you can expect to undergo three GentleMax Pro® laser treatments scheduled four to six weeks apart to completely treat toe nail fungus.
Of course, pain is relative. Some people have a higher tolerance for pain than others. It is possible that you may feel some discomfort during your GentleMax Pro® toe nail fungus treatment. Most report that any discomfort subsides once the procedure is finished.
Contact Fremont Laser & Skin Care to find out if GentleMax Pro® laser treatment can treat your toe nail fungus. Consultations are complimentary.
No doubt about it. Toe nail fungus is unattractive. If you’ve been painting your toe nails with polish to hide their appearance and wearing close-toed shoes, maybe it’s time to determine what is causing the brittleness, distorted thickness and discoloration. When you know the signs of toe nail fungus, you can begin treatment and confidently show your feet again.
The Mayo Clinic classifies toe nail fungus (onychomycosis) as an infection. It occurs when a fungus makes its way into nail. The fungus may start as a yellow or white spot on the nail, and if untreated can grow. If left untreated, the spot grows larger and the healthy nail begins to deteriorate. What’s left is a thickened, discolored, brittle toe nail.
The most common signs of toe nail fungus, both visual and physical, can include:
If any of these symptoms sound and look familiar, you’re probably wondering how the fungus got deep down into your toe nails in the first place.
Blame microscopic fungi, which are everywhere. You’re vulnerable to toe nail fungus anytime, but even tiny cuts between the nail and the nail bed increase your risk. Typically, toe nail fungus is caused by the dermatophyte type of fungus, but mold and yeast also can be the culprits. All three thrive in wet, warm environments. Being barefoot in gyms, locker room areas, hot tub decks, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pool decks and such can bring on a toe nail fungus or other type of fungal foot infection.
Shoes and socks plus sweaty feet can equal a toe nail fungus. This is another warm, wet environment in which toe nail fungus can strike. Toes are far more susceptible to nail fungus than fingers because your feet do not get the circulation that your hands do.
Other factors that put you at risk for toe nail fungus are diabetes, nail trauma (stub your toe or drop something on your toe nail), hygiene, athlete’s foot, immunodeficiency, peripheral vascular disease and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
Toe nail fungus is notoriously difficult to treat. While there are plenty of home remedies on the internet, usually a topical and oral anti-fungal is prescribed, which can take months to be effective. Today, laser treatment for toe nail fungus is an affordable and effective option without side effects or months of treatment.
If you have been hiding your toes for too long, schedule a complimentary consultation with Fremont Laser.
