| How does Botox Cosmetic work? |

Muscles contract when they are given electrical messages to move transmitted by a substance called acetycholine. These repeated contractions can cause lines and wrinkles. Botox Botulinum Toxin Type A blocks the release of acetylcholine so the muscle doesn’t receive the message to contract. Once the muscles are unable to contract, the skin becomes smoother.
